I've never been diagnosed with asthma before. I'm 39 and healthy as far as I know. I exercise regularly and have for years. Lately (past few months) on SOME nights (definitely not all the time), when I simply roll over in bed upon waking up (I wake up dozens of times throughout the night), I will get kinda of short of breath..sort of. It's hard to explain but it's an odd sensation sort of like I just exercised. I also noticed it last night when I, and this is embarrassing, but when I had some gas and needed to push it out. Sorry there's no other non embarrassing way to say it. But immediately after that I was almost gasping for air and my HR was higher. Not sky high but much higher than my resting HR. After a couple minutes I'm back to my restful state. What the heck could that be? My cardiologist doesn't think anything's wrong with my heart, which is what I first suspected. Then I thought...asthma???? It's not just random. I've done these things in bed for years and only now I notice these odd symptoms. Something must be up right?
