sick of being sick

for the last year and a half I have been having on and off symptoms of my neck, shoulders and back aching with a fever. I have a hard time breathing when these episodes hit and i feel as if i have been hit by a semi truck!!! It even hurts to roll over in bed. My hands and feet are frozen and i am freezing!!! now this happens usually around my period no particular time either before or after. I also get sinus pressure and migraines during this time. each time I go to the doctor I am told oh you have a sinus infection or a respitory infection, or a fun viral infection that they cant do anything about!!! but nothing helps except steriods. oh forgot to mention my eyes burn during this time also. These episodes can come once a month or i can be fine for a couple of months then it hits again. please need advice very frustrated!!!!

deedee,
i agree with mayerstein, i think you should at least ask your doctor for an ANA blood test but if your insurance allows go to a rheumatologist and have a full work up.  you may have an autoimmune disease or RA.  i have lupus.  have you noticed any other symptoms?  go to lupus.org and see if your symptoms match.  but i would have blood work done and don't go to that same doctor.
God Bless.

Have you had a full blood panel done by a rheumatologist? I'm curious if certain clues for what this may be lies there. I've had similar symptoms for the past year as well. I've got many signs of lupus, but no diagnosis. How high are your fevers? Mine range 99 - 101, but are almost everyday.

Hi Deedee...I was wondering if you had the Gardasil/HPV vaccine?  These are some of the symptoms that occur after the vaccine.  if so, you can find help at truthaboutgardasil.org  Good luck!!  Please keep me posted.

The 1st thing I would do is find a different doctor that you can actually get real answers and progress from.  That's what doctors are there to do.  I have gone through sooooo many because I have gotten no answers.  Well, don't be discouraged because there are docs that can give you answers to your probs.  Get a second opinion from someone else should be your 1st step.
