ANA Testing

Hi,  I don't have a doctor or insurance of any kind.  Is there any way I can still get ANA testing done?  How do I go about this and how much do you think it will cost me?  Thanks.

You would have to call a doctor's office and ask them how much they charge. Tell them that you are a new patient and give them your reason for being there (I'm assuming you think you may have an autoimmune condition). Next, find out if they offer discounts for people who pay cash. But honestly... I would check into the free clinics first.

How would a physician work?  Could I just call up a Drs office and ask to make an appointment just for that one test?  How much do you think that would run?

I will look into the free clinics as well...theres a school up here for health ocs too that might be able to help now that I think about it.  Thanks for the response.

You need a physician to order the test. If you pay cash, you may be able to get a discount for the physician and the lab test (check with the lab and physician).

Since you don't have health insurance, I would consider calling your Governor and asking his/her staff to give you information on free clinics in your area and/or programs that you may qualify for.
