I'm new to this forum and just read your post. I have RA and you may want to read about this .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antiphospholipid_syndrome
Its also called hughes syndrome. If it is this is very treatable. Also wouldn't rule out the possibility of her having Lupus down the road .

A lot of time with RA you can have overlapping problems . But again most are very treatable.
She fortunate  to have a mother that cares so much for her. Try not to worry it Gods watching out over her.

As a mother, I know the terrifying feeling of not knowing what to do.  Most doctors are very careing people, especially when it comes to children.

I'm praying for your daughter and for you.  Praying for the doctors to have wisdom as well as for God to heal your sweet little girl.

Keep me posted, will you?

God bless, Kara

Hello, they say her blood tests are evolving but thank you i will try and read the tests and see if they have tested for anticoagulant antibodies they told me she is one of three with this condition but i really wouldnt know. The Rhumatoligist said one thing and the pedrition said another so im really confused who to listen to, bascially they told me to get her to swim 3 days a week and heaps of exercise and push past the pain boundry to keep her blood flowing the medication she is on has helped heaps she has gone from level 10 pain to level 1. but we did more blood thursday so see what comes of that. I really dont know what to do next but at least for now she has slowed down with the crying in pain. That is a releif im just worried about blood clotting i noticed they have her as cat 1 = life or death need to been seen asap. i really do not know much about this at all but trying to resarch so i have info up my sleeve.I just know i want to see her grow up and have children so ill do anything i can to keep her healthy and living with minimal pain.

Heloo and welcome to MedHelp.

Wow, you daughter has a really high ANA.  Do you know what the pattern is?  Lupus is not dx with just an elevated ANA.  There are other autoimmune diseases that can cause elevated ANA.  Cancer can too in low titres.  So I don't think that is what is going on.  Have they checked her anticoagulant antibodies.

The only thing that is recommended for blood clots is asprin.  But honestly you are working with a 6 year old.  I would certainly pass that through with you doctor.

What are your daughter's symptoms?
