Perhaps finally an answer (IgG defiency_

I have been experiencing hell for the past two years.  Started out with the inability to swallow, sinus infection after sinus infection, tonsils being removed, a hosptial stay at least once a month since January 2008.  I've taken every antibiotic, every PPI, every anti-depressant you can imagine.

I feel like hell every day of my life.  Stomach bloating, throat pain and just plain unbearable discomfort and I can't even list everything because it will just take up too much time and space.

My question is, FINALLY someone might have a lead as to what is wrong with me....my IgG (3) levels are extremely low and my other blood work is on the very low end of normal.

Has anyone else experienced this immune problem?  What are your symptoms?  They are talking about doing 2 months of low dose ammoxicilln and then if that doesn't help doing the immunoglobin therapy.  Has anyone had the immunoglobin therapy....does it help?  How does it work?  Is it life long?  how often to you receive it?

Thank you.

My son received IV gamma globulin therapy.  His immune system was whacked due to numerous antibiotics.  So, he was on the infection merri go round.  We would go to the hospital every three weeks. they would hook up an IV and the treatment took forty five minutes or so.  After receiving each treatment his skin color got rosy and he would urinate quite a bit more.  But, I was amazed at the results, he was on this for a full six months and afterwards he had a couple tune ups.  That was years ago, and his immune system is still strong.

I have obvious immune issues and wondered if it might help me as well, am planning on asking at next appointment.  I have Sjogrens, it started with the inability to swallow, sometimes breathe, went to ER a few times, they said angioedema. Anyway, Sjogrens affects the amount of saliva and sometimes dry eyes as well.  My sinuses were swollen and I had ulcers in my larynx, which can exhibit no symptoms as opposed to acid reflux which you feel big time. I think that is called GERD,  I am almost stable.  I had two procedures in the doctors office that helped. the one removed a small portion of my soft pallete and the other to removed some tissue at the back of my throat. They usually do them seperate, but I begged to do both and get it over with.  If I had to do it again, I would probably do it separate, but it helped a lot.  The other is reduce some of my medicines, as Sjogren can be drug induced.  And finally I take pilocarpine four times a day. it actually produces saliva.

Anyway, I wish you the best and please feel free to contact me email or note anytime, hang in there, keep a journal with lots of details, time of day, legnth of time, weather, season, food ingested before, etc... I think it will help speed up your diagnosis
