autoimmune and kidneys

My kidney functioning has gone down 30 points in 2 years (multiple tests from different labs confirm this).  I have a fluctuating hcrp level of anywhere from 4 to 13.1 to 5.2 to 9.1 (some of these within a matter of 3 days testing).  They have ruled out that the reduction in kidney functioning is related to diabetes.  This feels a little autoimmune, what could it be?

I went from 84 to 51 GFR (multiple tests by different labs confirmed. My hcrp went from 4 to 13.1 to 5.2 to 9.1 - The last two were within 2 days of each other.  I am not sure if that helps.  Also I know protein was in urine.  I had a ultrasound today but no sure of results.

Hi blh131.

Do you know your eGFR? Or your stage, like stage 3 CKD, perhaps?
Since your doctor(s) don't seem to know the cause, why a biopsy has not been done, so a determination can be made?

The fluctuating and high crp indicates fluctuating levels of inflammation in your body but it lacks specificity. Do you know the lab ranges?

It is not possible to make any specific comments about your condition
with the information available.

Best wishes.
