I suggest getting a test for EBV, CMV, HHV-6 and HSV. You may be having neurological symptoms of a chronic viral infection.
I have similar symptoms to you along with chronic migraines, tremors and more. Find a good chiropractor and spinal adjustments will help with what you describe. Pinched nerves are horrible. Myofascial physical therapy also helped me. Kim
Just a thought though, my ESR is higher than "normal" all the time, I think it's because of the fibromyalgia, but my GP doesn't seem worried about it.
So sorry you're in pain with no real answers. Even if you have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, it doesn't really make any difference to treatment, I'm on painkillers, gabapentin, antidepressants and soon to be on nortriptyline too. It's no fun being undiagnosed though. Hopefully someone else might have some other suggestions.
Yes I've had multiple MRI and all they ever find are small arthritic changes. I've been to the Rheumatologist and they put me on Humira but it wasn't making any difference on my lab work after 6 months so we discontinued it. Ive asked my doctors about fibromyalgia and they all say i don't fit the criteria. so like i said im stuck
Have you had any investigations for your back, MRI for example?
Your other symptoms sound like fibromyalgia, which is what I have, however there are other things it could be. Have you seen any specialists?
