I love beets!!!! Thanks for the idea! I didn't know they were good for anemia! And if you need someone to help finish off your Oreos, I'm your girl! LOL!
Sounds like a good plan. it's funny part of what you said because I just discussed with my boyfriend this week how I am going to be cooking fresh veggies and even using my juicer again and that we were going to lay off beef except maybe once a week. The funny part is I also told him "look there are hot dogs in the fridge and oreos in the cabinet and I am not going to throw them away so if you see me eating them I am not cheating". LOL Who would throw away perfectly good Oreos?? I'm not crazy like that one doctor told me a year ago when I first got sick. lol If I threw them away it would prove she was right. hahaha Thank God I have found better doctors since her....
Good lucka nd let me know how the diet goes. Eat beets so you won't get anemia. I put them in the juicer or I buy organic veggie juice that has beets in it.

My immune system seems to be in great shape, believe it or not. I am on Plaquenil, but I don't know how long I can stay on it. It hurts my stomach, gives me loads of embarrassing moments, but does take away 99% of my pain. My surgery will be for a dropped bladder as well as a "vaginal vault prolapse". Everything is falling out!!!! Weird, huh? I went too long without estrogen, so things got LAX. LOL! Anyway, I will be out of work 6 weeks, but was hoping to start this raw diet during that time simply because I'd be home. If it made me weak or tired, I could just sleep when I want to. If I can't then I will wait till doc says it's okay. I am going to try to incorporate more and more fruits and vegies (raw) into my diet now, continuing to eat the cooked food I still have in the fridge. I don't want to throw anything away. After that, the whole family should be okay on fruit and raw vegies, as they've been nagging for more anyway. So, here's their chance! LOL!
Thanks for your advice. I hadn't even thought of that at all. I will ensure I wash things very well, also.
What kind of surgery are you going to have? Is your immune system compromised by steroids or antimylarias? The raw food diet sounds great and I would love to do it myself. The only thing that hit me when I read your post was that you are doing after surgery and I remember when my dad had surgery they would not let him have anything that wasn't cooked fully for a while because of possible germs. His immune system was comprimised. I just felt I needed to mention that. I don't want to bring you down but I want you to be safe.
God Bless,
Joni
