Compression Stocking and POTS?

Hello, fellow POTSies! I have a quick(ish) question for you. Do any of you wear compression stockings for your POTS? What brand, style, and compression do you wear? Are they beneficial for you? I have been looking at them for a while now, and am wondering if they might be of any use to me. Here are my questions- at what age are they used? I know that most people don't wear them in their teens, but it is acceptable (or even helpful) for a teen with POTS to wear them? Will it do damage? What style/compression is typically the most helpful for POTS? I am a fourteen and a half year old girl, and I was diagnosed with POTS in October. I'm currently taking Florinef, but had to up the dosage due to the fact that it simply wasn't yielding results. (At all.) I'm hoping and praying that the upped dosage does the trick, but might compression stockings be something to consider? I've seen some that I would consider from Rejuvahealth or Juzo, but they're slightly pricey, so I'm hesitant to ask my mom about whether or not they would be something to look into, and I would like to know from you guys if it's even something to ask about in the first place. So... there ya go. Compression stockings- to wear or not to wear?

I think that in your case that it would certainly be worth a try. Some people get help from abdominal binders along with the stockings.
I am trying them myself, and I am not certain whether or not they are helping yet. With these conditions there is a lot of ups and downs. It can take some time and patience to know how much they help or not.
By all means try them. if they are a help to you, you will be better for it.

I am 20 years old and I wear them occasionally. I can't wear them in the summer because I get too hot, but I wear them every once in a while if I will be on my feet a lot. I use 20-30 mmHg waist high stockings, I have to roll them down to my hips though because I have digestive issues that they upset by squeezing on my stomach. My insurance covered them, so you might want to look into that option as well. I have Juzo brand and they are pretty comfortable I think.
