Hello, New to all of this.....

Hope you do not mind a couple of questions.
DX w/ mital valve prolapse with regurgitation (sorry for spelling error), Have had that for at least 15 years w/ occasional palpatations and irregularities, I got used to it.

Dx w/ Gastro paresis, fibro, Chronic Fatigue syndrome, and Sarcoidosis. The sarcoid I was never treated for and remains Ok...dormant?

Just had a Tilt Table Test done last week and I was upright for Maybe 5 - 6 minutes before they stopped the test because they got exactly what they wanted. Me fading out and heart rate increase from around 84 all the way to
159 just that fast upon putting me upright.

My B/P is always LOW!  I'm talking 80,s over 40,s or 50,s and a low pulse.  Doctor was tesing me for NeuroCardiogenic disorder?  But doesn't this sound more like POT,s or can you have both?

Sorry to ask so much. One of the doctors want me take a beta blocker but because of my LOW b/p and Low resting heart rate that spells diaster!  could someone give some info on this or advice please as I am soooo confused!

Oh ya, I also have the sx of.......I am dizzy ever day of my life, feel like the I,m walking on a wobbly floor from one of those fun houses, Weak at times, EXHAUSTED, cognitive stuff, and several othr things.

Right now he is calling it "Somthing tachycardia"......I don't remember the first word because I was wiped out from the test.

Thank you all in advance for tsking the time not only to read this but to answer :)

First off, Thank you very much for taking the time to read and reply to my post.
When this is new to someone we have soooo many questions and no answers but through help and support of others who are in the same boat and through others trial and error. So again Thank You.

I just got my report back from tilt tableTest would you give me your thoughts? I know you are not a doctor..:) i just wanted anyones thoughts...So Here goes.....

Let me say first off...My b/p was soooo high (for me) that morning that I even kept making comments on how high it was for ME.

b/p was monitired every (3) min baseline being 121/68 with heart rate 86 . Patient then placed at 80 degree angle heart rate initially rose to 110 bpm then dropped to 85... b/p rose to 141/75 then satbilized at 120/70....Approx 5 min into study heart rate rose into the 140's w/ no change in b/p.....A few minutes later another rise in heart rate to 161 bpm.... Patient complained of extreme dizziness and of fadding out......we were not able to record the the b/p during this episode but did have a palpable pulse which was tachy and thready.....The test was concluded at this time....her immediate supine b/p was 109/71...with heart rate dropping back down to the 70's ....b/p remained stable.....

Well thats it...does this sound like POTS?
Thanks for any thoughts.

You can have both POTS, and NCS.  Many of the members in our community have more than one type of Dysautonomia.  Additionally, it's not uncommon to have some form of Dysautonomia secondary to MVP.  (I believe we've had a couple of members with MVP as well as Dysautonomia.)  Gastroparesis, and symptoms of chronic fatigue are common as well.

Beta blockers are sometimes used to treat symptoms of Dysautonomia, but they aren't always tolerated, and may not be tolerated in your case.  If your blood pressure is 80/50, it doesn't seem likely that a beta blocker would be well tolerated, though someone else may have a different opinion to offer.

Are you currently taking anything like Florinef, Midodrine, or Pyridostigmine?  These drugs can be used to raise blood pressure.  Ritalin can also be used to raise blood pressure, and may be helpful in treating some of your cognitive symptoms.
