So glad that your pain is better. ANd, glad that you have something for the anxiety!
That helps too so that the pain is not magnified from being so anxious.

Have a Great rest of the weekend :)

Just wanted to say that I also get anxious when my pain is really bad.  That happened last week. And it helps me too to take something (Klonopin for me) for the anxiety.  My pain has been better finally after 10 days of migraines and at times full body aches.  Ugh.  I am so grateful that I have had little pain for several hours today.

Heiferly,

Hope the docs get your leg/knee pain sorted out soon.  You are so good at advocating for yourself.  Oh, and about shaving, yeah that is a luxury for me too.

Heiferly-. Cellular hypoxia is exciting reading.lol but.I am a nerd for.sure.

Long weekend just isn't going to be too.exciting. Transmission went out of.van so.dealing with getting that fixed and the extra expense. Oh well safer to sit and relax.at home away:)

AMO,

Hey, personal hygiene counts!!  I score a victory every time I muster up enough energy to shave something whilst I'm in the shower, hahaha!!  (Unless I only get through one leg and have to quit.  Those I consider defeats, because I think it looks better to have two unshaven legs than one leg of stubble and one smooth leg.)  :-p

Even the little victories count!

Tonya,

So sorry you're having trouble with pain.  :-(

I had an upheaval in my personal life over the weekend and am reeling from that.  So much for those five stages of grief ... I can't seem to get past the first three ... I think I'm rapid-cycling through those ones over and over, lol.

As for this week, Monday I saw the neuro-ophthalmologist and got the final OK that my retina is healed (yayayay!!) and got the Rx for my new glasses Part I.

Tuesday we dropped off the Rx and picked out frames at the Optometry place after a nightmare time trying to get there because the road was closed on one side of the building and that's the only way I knew how to get there.  Finally got directions from a friendly police officer or I just *might* have lost it.

Wednesday laid in bed and moped?  Yeah, I think that was it.  Er, maybe I have Tuesday and Wednesday mixed up.  Whatever.

Thursday got a new dysauto-y textbook in the mail so I've been reading.  (Hey, if you don't think topics such as "cellular hypoxia" make for leisure reading, then you just aren't nerdy enough!!)  :-p  Tonight I went out to a sports-bar (that was way too loud for my taste) for dinner ... at least I got out of the house.

Tomorrow I intend to nap and maybe pick up a Rx refill.

Saturday and Sunday are an enigma wrapped in a mystery.  With any luck, more reading, less moping, but we'll see.  Probably depends more on whether the Ativan is ready for pickup on Friday than anything else.  :-p

Oh, and the x-rays and blood tests for my horrible knee and hip pain that has now gotten so bad that it's waking me up multiple times every night all came back normal, so that was a dead end.  After some uh ... constructive criticism ... of my new general practitioner's initial suggestions for Plan B, we decided on going with a referral to vascular.  I *really* think there's a vascular component, and I prefer to go with my hunch here, since they're my knees and hips that are in agony and I'm the one who "loses" the longer this goes on without figuring out what the problem is.  So yeah, I should be getting that referral soon.  My knees (i.e. not the whole leg like "normal") have turned purple a few times with this, so that's part of my vascular theory.  I think it's as good as any other theory, considering all the rheumy/orthopedic/autoimmune tests came up negative.  Darn PITS!!

Gabapentin is a good drug. In my case even at smallest dose it left me unable to function. Lortab makes me see 4 of everything. I.hate that. My Dr gave me klonopin for anxiety and nerve pain in legs. I have had it with me for 2 yrs and have never took any(I did have it renewed so it was up to date). Dr says at least he doesn't have to be concerned I am an addict.lol
I am so.afraid of new meds as having had some bad reactions to Meds in past. I think I really need to.get over that as am in pain most of.time.

I am glad cardiologist let u keep license as I hear its hard to get it back.

Have a good.weekend and stay safe.

Thank you so much for caring :)

Right now I take Gabapentin (which they just increased) and Loratab.  I also have to throw a xanax in w/ it becasue the pain is so bad sometimes it make me so anxious!

Ya, as far as the driving goes.....I assured my Cardiologist that I would not drive unless absolutely necessary.  I had to that becasue she was going to have my license taken away......

    Thanks again,
Be Safe,
~Tonya
