Free POTS Documentary DVD - 'Changes'

Hi Guys,

I am not sure if you are aware that there is a full length documentary on POTS that is availble free of charge.  I have posted regarding this DVD before but back then you had to buy it.

It is called - 'Changes: Living With Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome'  and was created by the Dysautonomia Information Network.  I purchased this when it first became available and I think it is a fantastic opportunity to have this to share with family and friends, it helps them to understand what we have to deal with and gives some explanations to our symptoms.  It features a couple of POTS patients and POTS specialists, one of the patients also being a POTS doctor himself!

This is available from the dinet.org website, the link is below:

www.dinet.org

It is limited to one free DVD per household. Personally, I have ordered one of these to go to my GP and one to my Neuro and Cardio specialists.

I'm also curious about the video... is it only for the standard POTS or does it give info on the hyperadrenergic variation of POTS?
thanks!!

First of all thanks for the heads up. I think it sounds like a great tool!  Getting others to understand is often difficult.

I have a question.  For those of you who have seen the film do you think it would be applicable for others with other types of autonomic dysfunction?  I have pure autonomic failure not POTS, blood pressure pools as well, have huge fluctuations in BP but with me the pulse can't compensate so the respiratory system must.  I have slow internet so I can't just go view it on dinet.  Marie

Sweetness. :)
I just ordered a copy and it was simple as pie! I wonder how long it will take to get here?? It doesn't say on there. hmm.. excited now. I have been wanting something to help explain this to my family and trying to just tell them without them looking at you like your nuts is impossible. I had seen this before but thought it might not be so helpful like some of the youtube videos are. But you guys reviews sound great.

Thanks a million!!  Amber

I, too, bought a copy when it came out.  I passed it around to family members to educate them about POTS.  This gave them a better understanding why my son 'looked' normal and healthy yet was not attending school.  They all came to understand the illness better.

The teenage girl in it pretty much has the same story as Cody, with the constant nausea.
