I know Lori.  It's going so fast...look at Tink in her second trimester already!  It seems like she just came back from vacation! Tell Rich all you want for Christmas is a trip to Spain.

Last night I had to go to the er and get 4 stitches in my right hand...I was washing a glass and it broke :( Unfortunately, as many of you know, I'm a cook and I'm right handed, so I'm off work today. Hopefully I can go in tomorrow and find something to do...It was the residents first time doing stitches and he was a shaking mess the whole time!! It took and hour and a half and he didn't freeze it properly (he went in 3 more times to numb it more, but it didn't help) I could feel every stitch!! It was SO freaking painful!! Anyhoo..I feel like poop and I can't even pull my hair back into a ponytail today! Arrgh!! I'm frustrated!!

Wow!! The list is really long!! Great job!!
  I just got the results of my progesterone back.It is 26.41.  I don't know what they are supposed to be at 5 weeks,but she said that they were good and I do not need to take progesterone suppositories anymore. Thank goodnes!! I can't stand that stuff!! It just feels weird! Can any of you pg ladies tell me what your first progesterone test results were? Just curious to see what range I am in.  Today I go for my 2nd beta test.I won't get the results back until Monday or Tuesday. I hope that they are doubling and high numbers.Fingers are crossed until then.
Erica- That really stinks having stiches in your right hand. I can't even imagine.

Oh no Erica-  When I first started reading your post I thought you were at the ER for something baby related.  I would take the stiches over that any day.  but it does stink not being able to to do anything.  I wish you a speedy recovery!

Selaiwa-Great news about coming off the progesterone!  I'm sure your numbers will be great!

While I'm over here I'm absorbing as much baby dust as possible :)

Selaiwa...My first progesterone level was 21, and I was told it was just fine.  I think I read anywhere from 9-47 is considered normal in the first trimester, but Dr.s will usually supplement if they are below 16.  I hope your beta is wonderful!

Erica...I'm sorry about the stitches. =(  I had stitches in my hand once and when I told the Dr. I could feel them all going in he told me I was crazy and I didn't feel anything.  It ***** that al you can take is Tylenol, so nothing to help the swelling.

Aileen..the "dr." kept accidentally sticking the syringe all the way through the skin and the numbing meds kept squirting onto John and I!! He was shaking the whole freaking time!! We even heard the pep talk he was being given by the attending Dr. It was a freaking horror show, lol!!

I've had a busy week and not been able to log on so just been reading all the posts for the last half an hour!!

Erika, your hand incident sounds awful.... I'm hoping that jr dr stays away from midwifrey can you imagine him doing stitches after childbirth with those *skills*!! OMG!!

Lori, I am so sorry that AF arrived, I know what a difficult month this is for you and was praying so hard. God has a plan... just wish he would hurry up! I know you won't give up and you are gonna be on that list real soon :)

Selaiwa, Good luck with your 2nd Beta, I know you are going to have great levels, and I know I keep saying it but this baby is sticking around and going the whole way. In the UK they don't test progesterone levels or beta so I don't have a clue what mine are/were sorry... sounds like you are right on track though :-D

I am doing ok, can't believe I am almost 14 weeks! I got my letter back from the hospital 'maternal screening' service yesterday and sat it in the kitchen all day as couldn't bring myself to open it but am pleased to tell you that when I did pluck up the courage to open it, I had the wonderful news that my recent screening tests have shown baby is NOT high risk for Downs!

I celebrated in the evening by opening the box for the foetal monitor I bought a few weeks ago and had a listen to baby with the kids and DH, a truely magical moment! Because the baby is so small it did take a while to find the heartbeat and baby didn't like the pressure of the doppler so kept moving away but the kids faces lit up when we eventually found the heartbeat and a memory I will treasure forever. I'm going to leave it a few weeks and have another go as had to push down quite hard which was uncomfortable & also know I am going to find it very addictive!!

Oh Deb!!  I am so happy for you!! That is wonderful news!!  That is the one thing that I am most afraid of.   What a wonderful day is must be for you!! It must feel great to be able to listen to your baby's heartbeat with your family!! I feel as though I were there watching it all happen. It is going to be one of your most treasured memories!!
   As for me, my bbs are hurting alot and I am having headaches and morning sickness" more like all day sickness".  LOL  I am definately feeling pregnant! My husband brought home a bottle of wine to celebrate.I reminded him that I can't drink! It was so sweet of him though. So he and I took a jacuzzi together with only warm water. We were privately celebrating our pregnancy and he was getting ideas of baby names.It was wonderful to actually celebrate the pregnancy instead of worrying about all of the things that could happen.

Debs - that is such wonderful news!  It must have been beautiful to hear the heartbeat.  Your story brought tears to my eyes.

Debbie - I agree with Deb, you're in for the long haul on this one.  That baby is going to stick!!  (((BIG HUGS)))

Gosh,I am so emotional today !! I am crying tears of joy for you DEB.
I am so grateful to be pregnant again and having such great friends like all of you.I am glad that I can be able to share my pregnancy with you since I can't tell anyone in my family yet.You all are like my extended family.Thank you for your positive thoughts! It is nice to get a Hug every once and awhile.   :)

hi ladies- i only have a quick minute. just letting you all know Abby Nickole was born oct 14 at 6:34pm. she weighed 6lbs and shes 19in long. she is perfect and precious. we got home yesterday, only a day and a half in the hospital. i thought that was pretty good for me having a c-section. i posted some pics, i have tons more! i'll be back on when i have more time.

Gigi, I fell in love with your baby girl!! She is adorable.... I thought I wanted a boy but think I have changed my mind. I hope you are feeling ok and recover well from the c-section, I am having one with the baby and am dreading it :(

Last night and today I have been cramping quite alot. This morning my bbt went down .3 degrees. I have heard that when your temps drop that is a sign of impending miscarriage.
Just got news that my Grandmother has passed away and I have to travel out of state to the funeral.I won't be able to post for awhile but as soon as I get back I'll let you know how everything is going.
