szw2008 - I know what you mean about feeling the baby move. IT was sometime around 20 weeks for my first pregnancy, and my midwife said about 17 is when some second, third... time moms start to feel the baby moving. I am also SO excited to start feeling the movements! Have you started to show a little yet??
Hey ladies- I really need to watch this thread more. I am REALLY behind. I think pregnancy has already zapped my brain. If it's not on one of my many lists... I don't remember it. When there's baby on the brain, there isn't much room for anything else haha.
I don't have anything new to report really. Just watching my tracker tick along! I'm waiting and waiting to feel the baby move... I feel like I should feel it already so I lay really still at night and try to convince the baby to kick me. It never works haha. It really is crazy to see how fast the time really flew by. I've known I was pregnant for about 10 weeks now... that seems insane to me. I still have a fear that telling people will jinx this pregnancy. The day after we broke the news I felt terribly guilty and just KNEW something bad was going to happen, but so far so good!
trying- my pics are on my page and it is my profile pic too. I have been showing since the beginning (like you said, bloating). I currently look like I'm about 4-5 months along. Granted, this is my 3rd child and I never fully lost my baby pooch from my pregnancy with my daughter, but I think that this is mostly because of bloating. Like you said, I don't feel bloated, but I think that being pregnant breaks all the rules!
cocacolapanda - Thanks for the advice about when to tell work, I think I'll wait until I am really far along, although human-reasources just happens to be my mother-in-laws best friend so she knows and asked me how I was doing this morning and how I was feeling, I told her nobody else knows and she said she hadn't mentioned it to anyone so not to worry about it and she just said to wait until after my doc appt and see what the doc says and go from there. I know baby is like the size of a grain of rice right now, I just thought like you that I wouldn't be able to tell for quite awhile, but I didn't even get to show in the first pg so this caught me off gaurd. I'm sure it's probably bloating or maybe I am just eating more...btw I am like 5'5, 125 lbs, which is exactly where I am supposed to be for my height and my stomach for the most part is flat. Idk, like I said it's probably bloating I'm sure you can bloat without feeling bloated. It might also be inpart to my stomache being harder. And on a different note, is everyone supposed to get constipated during pg? I always get regular when I get pg.
trying_x_3 - Even for people who haven't had miscarriages many times they say waiting till 12 weeks is good, with my second pregnancy (the one I miscarried, my first miscarriage) I was waiting to tell, and the week I was going to was when I found out about loosing the baby. I'm hoping your two miscarriages weren't linked and that your new little bean does well! Also, if your longest pregnancy was 10 weeks it wouldn't be stretched out that much yet. I did bloat a LOT, and often times I just "felt" pregnant and didn't really feel bloated. Also, depending on your frame and how skinny you are (or how you carry your fat) you could easily show early as well, but usually after 12 weeks. If you show before 12 weeks it's not the baby, it's all the extra stuff the baby's moving out of the way. From my first pregnancy I still have lots of extra fat in the belly area that if I wore maternity pants everyone would think I'm at leasts 20 weeks.
annalc - I'm glad you got your ultrasound and everything was fine! I'm sure you'll hear the heartbeat at the next apt! I can't wait to see the pics, I had an ultrasound at 9 weeks and my baby still looked like a little bean, it would be interesting to see how much they change in a week!
Annalc - So happy to hear that your baby looked great and you're doing well!!
Did anyone else bloat? My family pointed out that I had a pouch and then my husband last night said you actually look like you're pregnant, I looked that way to me too, but I don't feel bloated I just look it lol!!! I heard that if you were pg before you'll start showing sooner, but my longest pg was 10 weeks so that can't be right. Is it possible to bloat and not know it? Anyway have a good day everyone!!
