To the best of my knowledge a laproscopy is purely to look whereas a biopsy is to take a piece of tissue, a biopsy is often taken during a laproscopy for further investigation.
I agree with what Helen said. I believe a biopsy is the actual taking of tissue, where as a laproscopy is merely to look around inside.
A lap procedure is different then an HSG (I've had the HSG). Both Steph9803 and Nunu1977 have had the lap done.

My doc said that she would take a tissue to check the thickness... so i think it should be only biopsy she was talking abt..... I was actually scared, thinking that she might have actually meant laproscopy....
