Possibly leaking amniotic fluid?

Hi ladies!  I have been MIA for a while, congratulations on all the new pregnancies!  I posted this in the pregnancy 18-34 forum as well, but I wanted all of your opinions as well.  Any advice would be appreciated.

I am 30 weeks pregnant and last night I had something happen that really scared me.  I woke up in the middle of the night and had a very strong urge to pee.  I sleep surrounded by pillows and had to unfold myself and role over.  Well, this is going to be tmi, but I was sleeping in nothing because I couldn't get comfortable and kept getting hot.  When I went to put my feet down on the floor and stand up off the bed I felt something trickling down my legs.  I ran to the bathroom and it was a clear liquid. It wasn't a whole lot, and I couldn't tell if it had a smell.  I went to the bathroom, cleaned up and went back to bed.  I haven't had any more fluid come out, and I don't know if it was amniotic fluid or urine.  I have noticed that with the way the baby is positioned if I cough, sneeze, or do anything along those lines I pee a little (see I told you tmi)!  Anyway, I have a doctor's appointment next week and I am not sure if I should call or wait until then.  From what I read, if it is amniotic fluid it will continue to leak.  Does anyone know anything about this?

I'd call the dr. to be safe too.  When I had my son I had an experience where my water started to break but it didn't all the way, but I didn't think it was urine either so I went to the hospital and they did a test to see (it's just a simple swab test that measures the pH) and sure enough, that's what it was....so, just to be on the safe side!  Good luck!!

I think it was prob. just a trickle of urine, but I would call the Dr. today anyways.   I worry about everything and would rather have it checked out than miss a big warning sign.  Good Luck!

While I have never made it that far, my bestfriend thought she was peeing on herself and when she delivered... which happened almost 2 months early. That's when we realized it was fluid. I would definately ask you dr. to check your fluid. Hopefully it's pee but better safe than sorry.

I get embarrassed when I leak.... its my own fault because I don't do my kegals enough...lol. I seriously have to stop what I'm doing when I know a sneeze is coming on and hold my legs just right and bend over a little to stop the leaks.
my husband laughs at me be cause he knows I'm not doing my kegals enough as well. Oh the joys of pregnancy...ha ha

Thank  you, I thought it was probably just urine, because everytime I sneeze or cough I leak a little, just wanted some other opinions.

I am only 21 weeks and if I don't hold myself right when i sneeze, which is a lot with this long allergy season dragging on, i can pee a little.

are you doing kegels? I try to remember, but forget until im going to the toilet, and do it then. im sure as baby gets bigger its going to get worse!

maybe it was baby pressing on your bladder just right and you leaked a little. if you are really worried about it maybe call the dr just to ease your nerves.
