Maybe you should ask your pcp to refer you to a pain management doctor? There are a lot of different ways to treat pain depending on type. With Fibro Lyrica helps me. Some people can't take Lyrica, though. Good luck.
lol alos some swear by glucosamine chrondrisen ( sp is wrong) your pharmisist will know its over the counter very big in Europe help with arthritis.
also look up back strengtening exercises on line if you strengthen the muscles it does help with any back pain, and try to learn range of motion exercises, learn proper bending and lifting techniques,,,I just switched from a life time habit of sleeping on tow bed pillows to one and its helping the neck is not meant to be that elevated during sleep.
sometimes alternating heat and then cold works,,be real careful of the pain meds highly addictive dont go down that road unless you have too, ask your doctor if physical therapy may help you, I didnt believe in it and just had my second session for my neck I am sore like I got beat up but its a different kind of pain, not what I usually have, she may be manipulating things back into shape I hope,,,
