After almost a month the pain is gone. She doesn't have to wear her neck brace anymore. As far as being able to turn her head, That still isn't the greatest. The doctor said that could take a long time.

Blonnie,

How bad is the pain with your daughter now?  I had ADR on my c5/c6 one week ago and still having a good amount of pain.  I'm curious if her pain level after 2 or 3 weeks after surgery.

I haven't worn my neck brace that much either.  How long was she required to wear her soft neck brace?

Thank You, Tomorrow will be one week since the surgery. She had an artificial disc replacement in her neck. She started taking a muscle relaxer with her pain med yesterday and is able to sleep. She is 35. I will tell her about the moist heat. Thank You!

Ive had three lumbar surgeries, last one being a fusion and I still have pain. My last surgery was in 2008. I think it all depends on how well the surgery worked for her. You could ask her doc how long this pain is going to go on for. Maybe there would be some treatments she could try. There are things like physical therapy, pain management, warm moist heating pads for adtheitis pain that work much better than a regular heating pad, acupuncture that she could try. How long ago was the surgery and what surgery was preformed? How old is your daughter?
Feel free to message me if you would like. Hope she gets to feeling better soon!
