Hi...we have a forum on MedHelp for Chiari and Syringomyelia (syrinx) u may find others that can share their experience with u regarding this condition.

R u sure it is not congenital and the injury just triggered it?It is possible to be acquired, but most times this is congenital and could b y u r having a tough time with WC.

Workers comp. Is horrible. I used to work in construction, and have heard nothing but horror stories regarding workers compensation insurance. They make you fight for EVERYTHING regarding your care. If you have your own private health insurance, I would try and getthemto cover thing syou may need healthwise and let them fight workers comp. If that fails and you have your own insurance, I would "re-injure" myself at home. At last then you would be able to go to your choice of doctors, although the "re-injuring may be illegal. Gotta do what ou gotta do! I wish you nothing but the best.
