This would depend on the location and the severity of the condition. If present in the cervical lesion it would be related and I would suggest an evaluation by your treating doctor for suggestion of an appropriate management plan. If present elsewhere, it is unlikely to be related and a general work-up with a primary care physician may be advisable.
