I have had 2 cervical surgeries, my first in April 2011 for an ACDF of C5-6 & C6-7, I woke from surgery screaming (my other half could hear me out in the waiting room), on 8/26/11, I had a CT Myelogram, these are the findings from the report:
FINDINGS: On the myelogram examination, there is noted to be a surgical plate overlying the vertebral
disc spaces of C5-6 and C6-7 with larger discs present. There does not appear to be fusion across
the disc spaces as of yet. The patient has a small ventral defect within the contrast column at the level
of C3-4 related to a mild anterior subluxation of C3 upon C4. There does not appear to be significant
canal stenosis. Evaluation is less than optimal due to faint opacification in this region.
IMPRESSION:
1. No significant stenosis seen.
2. Small ventral defect in the contrast column present at the C3-4 level related to anterior subluxation at
this level.
3. Postoperative changes identified at the vertebral segments of C5, C6, and C7. The disc spaces at
these levels do not appear to be definitely fused.
4. Patient was taken to the CT scanner.
My question is in regards to the small ventral defect present at C3-4 level related to anterior subluxation. I can find no information on this, yet I have asked my doctors.
I am now on my 2nd surgeon who did my 2nd surgery to remove the plate at C5-6 & C6-7 & re-do the surgery as a PCDF with bolts & rods rather then plates & screws, which was done in 2013. I am still having issues with my neck & extreme severe headaches that can keep me from functioning, as well as breathing issues (suddenly feeling as though I can't get enough air, as though I am hyperventilating).
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Thank you
