Help with CT scan results

Can some one tell me exactly what "severe biforminal narrowing due to uncovertable hypertrophy" means? Is this a result of compression or is this a structural issue that only surgery can correct? Also, does this mean I have to have surgery?

Would spinal decompression help this condition or is surgery the only option?

So in my eyes, your unconvertabral hypertrophy (extra growth of cartilege), is narrowing your foraminal holes at whatever the location was mentioned.

Unconvertabral hypertrophy means there is an extra growth of the cartilage located between the vertebrae. Foraminal narrowing means there's a narrowing of the space (hole) between the vertabrae where the nerve roots exit the spine.
