High density disk fragment in central Canal

Hi, I am a 50 years old female with two previous back surgeries including laminactomy and spinal fusion at L4-L5 L5 -S1 level.
My most recent CT scan result contains the following evidences.

There are changes of previous lower lumbar  surgery,  with L4/L5   L5/S1 with disck prostheses, with preserved vertebral allignment and bony fusiion.

There is a moderately severe bilateral frominal stenosis at L4/L5 and L5/S1 due to facet joint encroachment and there may be a foraminal root  compramise associated with this.

There is a moderate facet joint hypertrophy  mainly on t he left side possibly related to additional bony fusion at the site.

In addition on the saggital reformats there is a quite prominent high density disk fragment

Hi there!

Other that evidence of previous surgeries and degeneration the report should evidence of narrowing of spaces that carry the spinal nerves and possible compression of the nerves. Though a trial of conservative management can be given, the condition is unlikely to respond and surgical intervention may be required. I would suggest discussing the situation and the appropriate management plan with your treating orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
