I had a MRI on my neck because of pain, tingling and numbness I've felt in my left shoulder/arm. I had C4-5 fused last year due to degeneration and bulging disk. I'm having lower back surgery to fuse 2 disks in 3 weeks. I was not happy when this came up now too and I received my MRI report but do not know what everything means, in terms I can understand please.
The curve reversal has diminished significantly; underlying scoliosis degree in the cervical regions likewise. At C6-7 where previously slight disc dehydration and bulked annulus was present, now a mild to moderate disc protrusion/extrusion paracentral to the left with resultant mild central moderate left paracentral canal stenosis and impingement of the cord central left paracentral, both ventral C7 roods (more the left than right) are impounded against the thecal sac. To the right the neural foramen is patent, moderate to prominently stenotic mid medially on the left.
At C3-4, interval development of endplate hypertrophy and some disc hydration circumferential without canal or neural foraminal encroachment concerns.
Impression:
At C6-7, interval development of a mild to moderate disc protrusion central left paracentral with now mild central moderate left paracentral and moderate left neural foraminal stenosis with impingement of the ventral and existing C7 roots and with cord deformity and likely a degree of effect without malacia noted.
At C3-4, limited spondylosis has developed over the interval without encroachment concernts.
Postsurgical pattern diminishes curve reversal and scoliosis
ANYONE CARE TO TRANSLATE THAT INTO TERMS I CAN UNDERSTAND?
