No pain left arm and leg numbness and weakness as well as black out on head extension.

Hi Dr,
I have been through a number of doctors it all started with dizziness arm tingling and chest pain about 6 weeks ago. Heart and bloods checked out fine at hospital BP was high and ussually is low.Drs did CT because I have had a previous laminectomy L4/5, L5/S1and had a total foot drop, which showed multiple disc protrusions indenting thecal sad and prominent central disc protrusion at T1/T2 entraping nerve root. a couple of days later I ended up in one of the city hospitals as on head extension I would black out which produced tongueand lip numbnes I had hyper reflexes and they did another CT with contrast but there were too many shadows and ended up doing MRI which apparently was clear. MS has been eliminated with Head MRI so they sent me home.
Since then the numbness has become constant in my left hand and certain sections of my arm as well as Left soulof foot and 4 little toes and my knee gives out.
Consulted a neurologist who said none of my symptoms make sense and in his opinion my symptoms were psychosomatic. He is however sending me for nerve conduction and MRI who spine only because I said how could he say his opinion without eliminating everything.
I have 7 children and my own naturopathic clinic which I have barely been able to dress myself let alone care for all my other duties. When I do try to move around the symptoms exacerbate to the point I cant see properly am really fatigues and feel out of my body.
I cant sleep on my back or right side but can sleep on my left side.
Yesterday my mother found a 10cm mass in my subscapular area but on my right side my GP says probrably a lipoma and not related at all to any of what I am going through at the moment and it is on the wrong side.
Can disk herniations sometimes not appear on MRI and is it possible that cervical and thoracis herniations can produce arm and leg symptoms and all that I have described.
I know there is something not right but am slowly giving up and starting to feel I am going mental.

Severe Muscle weakness in lower limbs-no mobility, can't move, can't get up or down, or move around on bed, sometimes cannot even turn over, progressed over 3 months, no pain no cramps, muscle spasms  in head/neck and later in abdomen, loss of muscle tissue,  B-12 deficiency, have physiotherapy...blood work...MRI..could this be ALS or another MND?  I appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.

Hi Dr,
Had my nerve conduction this morning took all of 5 mins they didnt even do a needle EMG did both lower arms and 1 leg and said normal after charging me through the roof for this test. They had book 1 hour for the test I feel really ripped off I am glad it is normal but what does that really tell me does that say that I dont have any spinal nerve root impingement and that my numb arm and leg are all in my head,
Have MRI full spine in next couple of days and a ultrasound in a couple of weeks on the subscapula mass (right side) that I have.
I feel like giving up my supports are starting to think it is in my head but its not this is real.
Please help me

Your GP is obviously stuck in the past by discouraging you to see a chiropractor. This isn't th 1960s anymore. Those petty arguments between MDs and DCs are ridiculous. For every one medical doctor who tells you NOT to see a Chiropractor, I can show you 5 medical doctors you tell you that you SHOULD see a chiropractor.

The bottom line is, if a chiropractor can in fact help you, but your GP doesn't want you to see him, then find a GP who puts your well-being first.

I managed to get an appointment with a Cervical Spine specialist Dr of Chiropractic. He such a thourough examination I was amazed I have not even had a dr look at my spine in the past.
He is sending me for a series of Xrays as he feels I may have either had a TIA or Wallenberg Syndrome. He tried to contact my GP but my GP rang me and basically said what are you doing seeing a chiropractor I told him that he just wanted to know if anyone had infact done any diagnostic tests for Stroke in all my hospital visits and they havent. My GP said it is upto my neurologist to order these test. Since my neurologists thinks my condition is psychosomatic and he only preformed a 5 min exam on me I dont think he is even thinking along those lines.
I just dont know what to think anymore all I know is I have neurological deficits that with each day that passes the chance of recovery is getting slimmer. Will go forward with all of my tests and keep you posted on the final outcome (with how things are going this may take months).

Consider finding a local Upper Cervical Specialist in your area - they often find problems other doctors don't look for...

Best of luck!
