Back Surgery.

Ok, so ive been reading all this stuff on here about people who have had rods put in their back before for Scoliosis.I have recently been to Birmingham for app's with a specialist, and we are planning on surgery June 28th, of this year (i have congenital, btw.) Anywho, while reading other peoples questions,& answers i noticed alot of people saying you had trouble after your surgery, with the rod being to long,(etc.) So i'm alittle worried now? is there anything anyone wants to warn me about or any advice lol

I seems that you always hear stories about surgeries gone bad .I think this is because the majority of surgeries are successful and are not acknowledged.
