Severe Neck Pain for 18 months

I have been in severe neck pain since December 1, 2014. I was not previously in an accident, however I did train MMA, Jiu-jitsu, and boxing and I weight trained as well, pretty hardcore for a few years with no previous athletics. At the time my pain occurred I had been on a break from training for 3 months.
My MRI report shows that I have a REVERSAL OF THE NORMAL CERVICAL LORDOSIS, it lists bulges and protrusions and concluded "Predominantly mild degenerative disc and facet disease with mild foraminal stenosis at C4-5 and C6-7 on the left side".

My question is, Would these findings explain my pain?
