Herniated discs ruining my sex life???

Since Nov 27th, I have 3 herniated disks from L4-S1 with L5 ruptured and unilateral pain down my left leg. I've tried trigger point injections and epidual spinal injections with no success, I'm actually scheduled for another epidural injection tomorrow.

My first question is has anyone else had some kind of successful treatment they can recommend for this kind of injury?

My second question is I don't know if it's related or not and I'm hoping someone can tell me. I've recently (in the past month) developed decreased sensitivity in my genatalia and have been unable to orgasm. Is that possibly related to my back problems?

I appreciate any feedback I can get for either question - Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. I actually just turned 30 two days before I hurt my back! I guess it really is all downhill from there. I have a follow up today, so I'm definitely going to be bringing this up. I don't want to believe it's not related because I'm too young to give up on sex and I'm newly married for only 2 years.

Thank you for taking the time to answer me, I'm going to also look into the message therapy.

My opinion would be yes. I get extremely wierd feelings in my private area. It feels like a cell phone vibrating. I have talked with other people who also have different problems in these areas. I have talked to my gyn about my problem and she feels it is back related. I also go to a massage therapist which you may want to consider and he thinks it is also back related. You can try and goggle nerve pathways or dermatones for those areas in the images and see just where everything goes. That helps me out sometimes. It will show from where in your back the nerves travel to.
You did not say how old you are. Sometimes as we get older things change that way too.
Good luck.
