Impression:
Focal moderately severe cervical spondylosis at c5/c6. At c5/c6, a large posterior disk osteophyte complex causes moderately severe central canal stenosis. In addition, there is severe bilateral c5/c6 exit foraminal stenosis with likely impingement/irritation of both exiting c6 nerve roots.

I am on a long waiting to see a specialist and cant help worrying about the above.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi!
Central canal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal through which the spinal cord passes) caused by a bony projection (osteophyte) may or may not respond to conservative therapy of rest, deep tissue massage, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, physiotherapy, manual therapy or epidural injections. Since you have irritation of the same spinal nerve roots and a long waiting to see a specialist, you could ask your PCP and start these conservative treatments. If they help relieve the pain and nerve compression then you can avert surgery. Other wise you may need either traditional or endoscopic surgery to widen the central canal. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history.
