cervical and back pain

i just received the result of my MRI--CERVICAL SPINE early cervical spondylosis with right paramedian soft and hard disc bulge at C5-C6 and a lesser extent at C6-C7 mildly compressing the ventral CSF space.  LUMBAR SPINE-L5-S1 a diffuse disc bulge with annular tear paramedian to the right, moderate bil. facet joint osteoarthropathy.
L4-L5 show a diffuse annular disc bulge with small posterolateral extra foraminal protusion, moderate bil. facet joint  osteoarthrophaty causing relative narrowing of the right lateral recess. mild straightening of L/S curve with minimal subluxation of L4 over  L5 ----not with all these things on my back and i'm on pain shall i go for surgery? Is it so severe that i will be paralized? Which one is severe the one on my cervical or lumbar? what will i do to ease the pain? and what will i do so no further damage will come?

I think I would start with my back. Sounds like you could use a L4/L5/S1 fusion.

Then move up to the neck with a possible C5/C6/C7. Both these surgeries can be done minimally invasive Look into that.

What does your neurosurgeon say? It's hard to say anything about the future, it depends on the success of surgery and how well you take care of yourself. Describe the pain from your neck and then your back?

Hope I Help

well one neurosurgeon are eager to cut me out- which scared me a lot the other one said it's not that serious  so I'm confused. i don't have any pain on my cervical area except  sometimes when I'm walking there's a clicking sound that i heard.
the problem is on my lower back before whenever i have the pain I'll just take a rest and it will go away and the pain is tolerable. But now even for 3 weeks of resting the pain is still here it is on  the back of my whole pelvic area including the gluteal muscle. i can feel it everytime i lie down  in any position  it will hurt that's why i couldn't sleep well because I'm awaken by the pain and it will take me  1 minute to stand up now  if I'm standing there is very minimal pain. only when i'm lying down then the torture start.

Low backs do that some can't sit, some can't stand, some can't lay flat. Yes I could tell your back is bothering you more than your neck. Get another opinion, if you need. But low back surgery is in your future, why not get it over with. The sooner it is repaired the better you can be, if your wait too long it could become permenant. If the Dr. who wants to wait said you DON'T need surgery then it would be different. Be sure to ask about minimally invasive surgery.

Questions to ask If you need a fusion what kind will they do? Can you do it laterally or do you need to do a open back fusion? With the subluxation you may only be able to do open back surgery because they need to realine that level.

thanks noneck i will get another opinion  from another Dr. cause i don't even have the slightest idea what kind of operation and to be honest i'm really really  scared to do it.. after reading and hearing those who undergo operation they regret doing it cause  the pain is worst  than before  and the doctors just keep on giving painkillers- which i can't cause i have gastritis. anyway i will keep you posted thanks again for being there.
