Going by your symptoms its sounds like this thing has gotten real bad yet (although you'd probably dispute that statement) but I assure you, it can get much worse.
Have you tried Physical Therapy, it can help? And massage is good is too, I'm totally against Chiropractic manipulation of the neck, but that's just me. Have you thought about trying injections they can help too.
I don't if your problems are a result of poor posture, I'm not qualified to say so. But you do have some problems in your C-spine and like Squirtatious said, it create a lot problems and can prevent you from getting better. Take a look at braces, they make real light weight ones for posture, that you wear underneath, they do help and their not too expensive either.

Poor posture can certainly wreck havoc upon the human body. I can relate to headaches and horrid neck pain. Kalvin gave a great break down as usually. I always get 2-3 different opinions, hope u improve, take care.
thanks for your response. I am having constant pain across the upper part of my neck and headaches that last for days. Have tried chiropractic treatment and massage which help for a few days but the pain persists. Both chiro and masseur sem to think problems result from poor posture but i am not convinced.
1 - 4 is primarily age related degeneration.
5. The report states the you have a tiny vertebral hemangioma at C6. A hemangioma is a benign lesion and very rarely symptomatic, you should discuss this with your Doctor. You also have disc bulging at a few levels that’s slightly flattening your spinal cord. Since you didn’t mention any of the symptoms you’re experiencing, its hard to know if this is causing any problem. Do you have weakness and tingling in your arms and legs?
6. At this level you some narrowing of the foramen, which is the area that the nerve roots emerge from the spinal canal, this is usually caused by a disc bulge or by bone spurs (arthritis). This narrowing can create problems by pinching a nerve in this area. The report states that the narrowing is touching or contacting your C6 nerve root. Again, since we don’t know what type of symptoms you have, its hard to know if this is even a factor. Problems with C6 can cause neck pain, shoulder pain, scapula pain, thumb and index finger pain.
Tell us a little about the pain and symptoms you're experiencing and how your Doctor is currently treating you.
