I took seroquel as ordered by dr. for two years. recently too amoxicillin for era infection. One month later my heart is having issues. All this is new from sicne the ant-biotic seroquel combination. Does this subside?
I take four seroquil a day, currently. One in the morning with my lithium, one in the afternoon...I drink a big tea before taking this one and two at bed time. The dose per pill is25 mg. Maybe, if spread out you wouldn't be groggy. Hope you find a balance. Oh, not taking a combination with another antidepressant has affected me but I am stable and just waiting for my grown kids and their kids to Move out again, lol then hubby, dogs and I will be better

the serquil will sedate you well..it did me this way as you with celexa..i about went nuts..but the serquil should over ride the lexapro..if you get to bad go to the er they will get ahold of any pdoc..there should be one on the grounds anyways..but the serquil i had to come off of it due to this and heart rate spiked high 140 bpm..im sure this wont happen to you..i was on 200mgs xr..it made me calm after i went to bed but when they added the lexapro that was it.......................most people can take ssri,s with a mood stabilizer..i cant not a a,ll........rember er to bad!!!!!!!! james
A big hug to all, I was hospitalized and what happen was my diabetes medicine was not working and if I did not go to the emergency room a great chance of going into a coma.
Your replies helped a lot!
It is good to question how a med makes you feel. I started with a low dose of seroquel @ bedtime and worked up to 100mgs.I won't go over the 100 dose ( issues with a lot of meds, my issues) If I had only taken one 50mg of seroquel then I would actually not take anymore til you see the podc. another option is to split the dose in half until you see the podc. I felt a little loopy at first but that quickly went away.
I had to rearrange my sleep patterns, going to bed earlier until I got ajusted to the med.A benifit for me was the stablizing value it had the next day. Best wishes Let us know what you decided to do.
When you see your psychiatrist you could ask about Rozerem, a medication that is a sleep aide that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive. That generally has relatively few side effects. Ask them if that is an option.
Hi, is there anybody else at the same office as your psych who can advise you over the telephone what to do here? Failing that could you talk to your regular doc about it? I know what I would do personally but I cannot advise anyone else to do the same, which would be to stop taking it - I have had to do that with a number of meds but then I have usually only been on the med less than a week.
If you can't get hold of anyone and you begin to feel worse then the next option is to go to your nearest hospital. I hope you can hang on until Tuesday and see your psych as he/she is obviously the best person for you to be talking to.
Hugs.
