I had ECt's a year ago, and it caused me to get tachycardia(160bpm) and to have dysautonomia as well. Electrocution is NO JOKE! I wouldn't take the chance personally if you are pregnant, for the baby's sake. But if your doctor thinks he can "cure" you with ECT's before getting gpregnant, then maybe it's something to look into. From my experience, ECT's are only a last resort, I mean LAST resort. People say they're so safe, but I've had nothing but complications since them. I still haven't gotten my memory back.

But, for me, they were worth it. I had no other choice.
