Doc say no

This past Wednesday at Docs appointment,  I asked him "am I Bipolar 1 or 2?". His words "I don't think you are Bipolar at all". Ok. So I need to rethink this completely. He said "personality disorder ". That was all the time we had. Hmmm. Any thoughts on this? Ty.

Forgot to say that my previous doc & his PA were treating me for BP cause it made sense to me too I know mood swings. Odd since I started on double I haven't had a swing yet...we all know I will! U two know it too. Its not a matter of if, its a matter of when!! I will let u in on a little secret on this site. I am crippled,  no car and don't know those kind of people anymore no Phone #'s no nothing! If I still had a car...I feel that I would have relapsed last week or some time really!  See its out of my reach for sure. But I have been determined not to live like I used too, reason why I have refused friendship with a new tenant here because that is all she is about n I am not getting used. She has sent 6 txt in a week all lovey dovey like she gives a shite a new excuse in each txt. Forget her! Ty guys!!

I have had addictions to hydro, Meth, etc. He wasn't the doc that put me on Sub, another one did at my request. I was going broke every month . Before the Sub, I was eating approximately 8 to 10, hydro's 10 mg per day. Then came the Meth clinic for a year, they were tapering me off Meth. At 5mg of Meth I quit the clinic. I was sick for a while. I was going to try hard to live Med free...no no no!
I had serious back injuries & sciatic nerve damage?  Couldn't be healed from that last one. Anyway I was close to dying in pain. Did what many do when when in pain & was out of options nobody ever told me about Sub!!! So I ordered Tramadol online, going broke again for a long time n other doc didn't know about this. I googled and saw that "magic word" Sub! Scared but had to do something told that doc & he put me on Sub. All this was years, seems like my whole life. Ok my favorite doc's PA left took me a year too find him when i did, he was at the office of my present doc. PA left again & i stayed this time still on Sub for both Docs are trained to script Sub. I kinda got the idea that you thought I was on Sub for no reason or something, ok . Lol! Ty both! Make sense?

Be careful with Suboxone, I used it to detox methadone. I'm pretty famiar with it. If you don't mind, why is he doubling your dosage, that is one of the hardest opioids to detox from. I am BP1 and opioids rocked my world. The your doc left you hanging and changed your dose of a drug not related to BPD or BP, I would seek another opinion. You should be going weekly until this is resolved. Only my opinion, but I went nuts waiting 2 weeks for an appointment. It's too long to think about it.

Thank you so much for taking time to reply. You are right, a more distinctive to the point with an explanation sounds just right. Haven't been in a session with him that long before.  I'd say it was a little over an hour. I believe he remembered the one 2 months ago I really told him " this is hard to deal with, I am SAD. Didn't take me seriously and I went nuts with worry about that Med Suboxone. This visit he doubled it. Yes. I am improving daily! I am curious about his diagnosis like u say, need more description please! Thanks again!

He really should have given you an explanation , but if  it's personality disorder , I'm pretty sure Borderline personality disorder is the closest thing to Bi polar but in saying that i'm not a doctor . I would go back and see himor her and ask about a more informative diagnosis .

Best of luck with it.
