When you say you can't stop your behaviors, what do you mean? Do they have a negative impact on work, friends, family, yourself? Try going to a health clinic or GP and they can direct you to someone who can help you. It might help if you talk things through with your GP and from there go on to get specialist help
hey,
i'm sorry to hear you are having a hard time. you arent alone. i can definitely relate, i can't even begin to name all of the people i've pushed away with my crazy spells (i have borderline personality disorder, some similar behavior to bipolar). the amazing thing is how many of these people have forgiven me for the things i've said and done. if your family understands your illness, they will forgive you too.
I haven't been able to get myself into treatment yet due to $$$ constraints, but you should! Most hospitals can refer you to a mental health clinic, where they will assess you, hook you up with a psychiatrist and a therapist. i don't know if your area has this, but if you dial "2-1-1" in nj they will refer you to clinics, nonprofits, everything to get you help.
if you don't already, avoid alcohol and other mood altering substances. they make things a million times worse.
you're not alone or unworthy. you can master the impulses, esp. with help!
