Your post is exactly what I think. I avoid sugar too. Once in a while dark chocolate. I use a little honey, but I'm careful with that too.
If you put a little salt on things they taste sweeter. Like apples.
It's so hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle. It's a lot of work and you have to be conscience to remember to do the things your suppose to do. Examples for me are so many I'll name a few. To eat regularly, to not have any sugar, to exercise, to listen daily to my meditation CD'S, to stay away from toxic people because that gets me really down and the list goes on. Having Bipolar really is a lot of work not just taking a pill or two ya know. As many of you know I am in the tapering process of my meds and it's even more important for me to be healthy whether it's a healthy Bipolar or a healthy person.
I hate having bipolar. It makes my life very difficult at times. It *****. I wish I didn't need to be on medications.
I bet it is rough battling bipolar disorder, that's why I feel so lucky to have bipolar order. As a healthy bipolar, I no longer have an illness, but uniqueness. I agree it is intense to have such passionate moods, I truly give credit and respect to anyone who can manage their heart and mind, ill or not, it IS hard work. I'm just glad I'm not ill, healthy bipolar is the best state of mood and mind there is. I'm so excited to see what inspiration moves me to do next. I feel strong and courageous, good thing I have accountability, to help me guide these wonderful mind of mine in the right direction. Bipolar Order rules, Bipolar Disorder drools!
