Help my husband states I am crazy.

I have been taking cymbalta 90 mg and invega 9 mg for 3 months.  They are not working.

*  I hear my husband every once in a while talking on the phone to a woman.

* Usually when I am upstairs or downstairs.  He states I am crazy.

* The other night she was with him in my house.

* I was in a downstairs room and someone knocked on the air conditioner 5 times.  I told my husband, he first went outside.  Then he came in and got the flashlight.  Which was weird to me.  Well he let her in through the garage and opened the door into the garage from the house.

* While I was upstairs in be.  I could hear some noises that sounded like lovemaking is going on.  Well she slipped out and I checked out all rooms downstairs.  Last night he was talking to her and stated I knew she was there in the house.  He told her to me him outside by the tree.

* They would think of something then, well I confronted him.  We had a huge fight.  He states that I am crazy.  I told him to leave and live with her.  It is too painful being married to him now.  We have been married 28 years, and this has been going on for the last 5 years.

* Later on when I was in another room he called her and stated they stop doing what they are doing for a while.  He did not know what would happen to me.

* It is not like I hear him every night or away from home.  I am so upset I can hardly function.  I am not so sure it is me.

Do you think if I went on Abilify that if I was hearing stuff, it would stop it.  I have been on it before.  It made me feel normal.  I do have restless leg syndrome.  It made it worse.  I went off it.  Right now I feel if I take it long enough maybe it would subside and I can sleep at night.  And if I still hear him on the phone then it is him and not me.

I would say that it very well could be him. You need to get to the bottom of it somehow. First talk to your psychiatrsit and see what they think of the situation. If they think it could be you try the Abilify and your plan. You may need to be a bit sneaky and try to catch him in the act, though. :(

Your story is very simple and happens regularly everyday when a mean husband takes advantage of his wife's illness. He is aborting his marriage with his own hands while he was supposed to honor what he swore in front of the priest "in health and in illness". So i would not give him any importance and look after your health.

As to convincing you that you are mad or the sort is a dirty trick that all unworthy husbands do it. It's two fold, to convince himself before you that his adultery is warranted and for you to accept his sins. These tricks are irresponsible.

My only advise, get rid of him

Abilify would help psychotic thoughts. It can cause temporary movement disorders such as akathesia which can appear to be like restless legs syndrome and can be treated with a side effect pill. However, your husband may be abusing the fact that you have a psychiatric disability and pretending that is the cause of him speaking to another woman. I would still be concerned and speak to someone else about it who can find out for you.
