Just a quick follow up. Had session with PDOC and lab work. It was Lithium toxcity with the increase in dosage and combination of sun exposure. All's well now!
I was Lithium toxic on 1,200mg. My symptoms:
diarhea
thirst
blurry vision
extreme forgetfulness
repeating things
strong hand tremors
loss of balance (people thought I was drunk)
overly carefree
refusing to eat at all
lethargy (I think is was from the lack of food)
There are still a lot of things I don't quite remember. I just remember my family kept telling me something was wrong and I kept shrugging them off. I would walk around the house in 4 pairs of socks, long johns, a dress, shorts underneath, shirt under the dress, sweater, gloves and goggles LOL. I thought nothing was wrong with that. I wasn't wearing it because I was cold either. That's one example.
I appreciate the advise. However, digestive/poopy problems started the day we arrived and have continued for the last 5 days we've been home. I would have thought Montezuma's revenge/ travellers diarhea would have dissipated by now. I think I should have bought stock in Imodium/Charmin/Tums. Didn't drink any alcohol, only bottled water, no ice etc., barely ate due to tummy upset.
I agree with ILADVOCATE, you migh be experiencing what most tourists do. When I went back to Taiwan I was on the toilet every other second, if you know what I mean. If it really bugs you, see a doctor about your symptoms, but know you're probably not going to get any feedback on bpd. And, as ILADVOCATE suggested, drink gatorade or any substitute the caribbean has. Stay well.
If you are on a tropical island and have nausea and diarrhea you could have the common problem tourists have when visiting countries with tap water that isn't filtered which is a minor gastrointestinal complaint. See a doctor. But in the meamtime as it may be throwing your electrolytes out of wack drink gator aid. That is what doctors including mine reccomend to restore electrolytes. Its designed for that. Also stay out of the hot sun, use sun screen and keep covered at all times including a hat. Many psychiatric medications including Clonidine which I take and lithium as well don't interact well with the sun. They are perfectly safe to take but you still have to take precautions.
