I was wondering if there was any number like a suicide hotline or something like that which I can call. I am starting to go down a really bad mental path right now and I need to make it stop before I do something stupid.

(I need a number for someone who lives in Minnesota; and something I can do annonymously.)

I would go into detail, but I'm not in the mood for that.

You can call 1-800-suicide. It's really easy to remember. I've had plenty of times when I felt that bad and they are helpful

If you feel that you are unsafe with your thoughts, please go to the ER, it's obvious you want to live, or you wouldn't be writing here! If you go to the hospital they will keep you there, get you stable and make sure you are safe, there is no shame in doing that. I did that in July when I knew if I didn't get help, I would have done it. So please go to your emerg. They gave me a very mild sedative, which calmed me down enough so that I could think straight. Your heart knows you want help, but you are battling. I know you are hurting but it will I guarantee you it will get better, it definitely will! Hang in there!

Check your yellow pages online and you should find a crisis number you can ring.

As rliz has said there is always the ER if you are unable to get hold of anyone via telephone.
