I found that when I was on the heavy hitting mood stabilizers I got great results for my Manic episodes, but really couldn't stand not feeling anything at all, being emotionally neutered wasn't the way I was willing to live my life. So my manics aren't as controlled, but at least I can feel joy and other delightful emotions as well. You should definately gey your Meds checked if it bothers you to feel (or not feel!) That way.
I don't know what med u are on, but when I was on risperidone for long periods of time I became that way. It scared me. I had NO emotions whatsoever. My mom could have gotten hit by a buys right in front of me and I would have keep going like nothing happened.
Good drug, works wonders for me in the short term, just definitely not a long term option for me.
Your meds can block your emotions, that's what many of them are made to do. I also am emotionless for the most part, have been for a few years now. It works for me and my situation but you should talk to your doctor about this and see what he/she says. Maybe you need a dose change or a med change. At times we must weigh the pros and cons of our meds and quality of life.
