Just tell them you feel like hurting yourself if you feel you need a hospital admission.
It is a good thing that you realize there is a problem, I have a friend that I believe might be bipolar but I am not sure how conveince her to get evaluated. She will be talking to me about something that is at ease and comfortable and the next thing she starts aguring with me about something that might have happened last year and I didn't even know that the subject that she is bringing up bothered her at that time! It totally freaks me out to the point that she curses at me and hurts my feelings then she screams at me. I usually do not let myself endure her outbreaks so I stop do speaking to for a while she'll call me up in a full weeks like nothing ever happen! Being her friend is like a constant journey to the amusment park and the most popular ride that I always experience is the rollercoaster!
The therapist my doc recommended isn't returning my calls...when/if he does, I'm sure it will be weeks for an appointment. I've never found any help in talking about my issues. so this leaves me having to hurt myself to get help? great system
Most hospitals wint keep u in unless u are at risk of hurting yourself, ask your doctor to get u a shrink it really helps and go to groups I did it helped me
If you get to the point where you think you're going to hurt yourself or someone else, the hospital will be happy to take you, so you can use that even if there isn't a psych ER available.
