Yes bipolar disorder is a psychiatric disability. Asperger's is a developmental disability. Even within psychiatric disabilities one can have multiple diagnoses. Both can definitely occur at the same time. If you are concerned speak to your psychiatrist more about it.

They did find a cyst growing in the hippa campus of the brain of my grandson and most of it was removed last December.
With a personality disorder there is no absolute science. It all depends what symptoms are being presented.It can be very frustrating so I would employe the help of Family Teachers Parents of Friends, to help be your eyes and ears and report what you see back to the doctor, Swich up their diets and look for food allergies, be consistant with bed-time, notice if colors,sounds,smells,textures, provoke certain behaviors.
Kendal has an IEP for school, rarely uses it Britany is smart off the chart. They both have their own emotional meltdowns...
Kendal has touretts and lately he has been ticking a lot and has been intolerant of his sibblings....But we know why and are watching what time of day this occures
It's a lot of work and I talk with my daughter on a regular basis about the kids......
