also-- certain foods and food additives can trigger migraines ( 2 of my kids have them-- since age 3 and 5 ) red food dyes, caffeine, chocolate... just try to figure out your triggers.
and stress, excess heat ( one of my daughters #1 triggers) and menstrual cycle hormone changes..... can all affect/trigger headaches...
Try using a NETTI POT--- it's a normal saline solution you use 2-3 times a day that flushes out your sinuses with just a mild salt water solution and buffered with baking soda. *Be sure to follow manufacturer's directions!!! It's kinda gross to do the first few times ( in the shower always works best for me)- but it works,
So does rubbing a bit of TIGER BALM on your temples and at the base of your skull at the back of the neck. ( it's a sports rub-for muscles aches) but it's mostly clove oil, camphor in a petroleum jelly or beeswax type of base---
Another natural way- is aromatherapy-- LAVENDAR OIL is great ( used same as tiger balm) also can used dried lavendar in a sachet in your bath water or hang on your shower head to allow it;s aromas to permeate the water... Very relaxing, too.
Dr. says they are sinus headaches. I'm taking sinus meds for them and have some pain meds I would rather not be taking if I could avoid it. I alternate heat and cold pack. Some of them seem real stubborn tho and hang on for 2-3 days.
Thanks for the suggestion of rosemary tea will take it.
Freddie, I alreadyj take omega fish oil regularly. But thanks for the tip.
Krista
if they are just normal headaches and not something serious, rosemary tea should help. :)
You might want to find out what is causing the migraine type headaches, as you never know you might be allergic to something or it might be caused by stress or something you can cut out of your life. Although saying that it might not be that easy. I can't think of any supplements off hand that might except maybe omega 3 ( fish oil) but make sure its been filter for mercury.
Good luck
