Hopeful...

just saw my psych dr again and he talked to my cardiologist so I can start lamictal and I'm really hoping it will work like it does for those others of you that have given me some positive feedback on it

I started thyroid meds a few weeks ago and started having more vivid nightmares and flashbacks plus I started feeling the "twinges" of a possible manic state starting which hasn't happened in quite a long time - I was feeling down one day and went on a shopping "spree" luckily it was only a small one and I've been talking wild talk about getting my husband to move ugh - sometimes I do this when the wonderlust starts grrr and some other personal things I just don't want to think/talk about.

the meds may start just in time [crosses fingers]

I became an insurance sales woman because of thoughts like that. I hate working with numbers, why I though that would be a good fit I have no idea. I wasted close to $2000 on the venture.

I get pet projects i need to do and they cost! so i shop and waste money. Most of my mania at this point seem to be kind of different in how they show them selves but i am sure you are not alone, i have moved town once when manic but was the best thing i ever did so not irrational decision.

thanks =) have to push it back to tomorrow hubby forgot to drop the script off.

does anyone else have patterns of manic states like with me shopping; feeling like "something" needs to change or to do something drastic like move across the country? I can't stand when I start feeling like this - overwhelming restlessessness?

I really hope this Lamictal helps you and makes you feel better, and that mania doesn't become a problem. Can't say i know much about Lamictal but i hear it is a good anti-depressant property's which might be great. Be sure to let us know how it goes. :)

Best of luck
