Yes, I've heard phones ringing. I know that's random. This is when I was a kid before cell phones, so it was my house phone where I grew up. The phone would ring and ring for hours. The second I step out of the room to answer the phone it stops, when I go back it starts ringing again. No one else in the house could hear it. The phone sounded very loud and realistic but it was very scary and eerie.
When i was manic i could hear the song "dom may voo" playing and when i would get up and look were is was coming from it would change its direction, no one else said they could hear it, but who knows. I also heard brassy, classical music, which is so not my kind of music and never listen to it and would drive my crazy as it was real loud when i was trying to sleep, as i wasn't sleeping much like maybe 3 hours so it was important to get it. Very Annoying !!!
I was diagnosed with bipolar 10 years ago, and I had that problem from the beginning. I use to hear classical music.
Yes I have experienced auditory hallucinations in the past and this can happen with some types of bipolar but only a psychiatrist could provide a diagnosis and it would depend on what else is occuring. It would also depend if this specifically occurs during or before smoking or at other times as well.
