I've had mirena for almost a year and I love it. No problems for me and it totally took care of my period issues so it's the best thing I've ever tried. I hated the pill because I got mad having to take it every day. Plus the pill never did anything to help me with my period issues so I gave up on it.

I was on the pill (Tri-Sprintec) for 4 years.. No side effects, but because I'm OCD, I never missed a pill. It did, however take me awhile to get pregnant once I stopped taking it! And after baby comes, I do plan to return to my trustworthy pills :)

My partner and I plan on using condoms and I will be exclusively bf.
I hated the depo shot. I gained a ton of weight and it completely messed with my cycle.
I tried two different pills. They both severely exagerrated past issues with depression. The first gave me unexplained bleeding. The second I got pregnant 5 months after starting on it.

I hated the pill (ended up pregnant twice) and the deposit proverb shot made me bleed for 4 months straight. So right now I don't know what I'm going to use after baby is born

No you dont take nuva ring out during sex. You put it in for 3 weeks, out for 1 during which you have your period. Then you put a new one in for 3 weeks, repeat.
