Missed pill

Okay so I've been on Orthortrycyclin for about half a year and I missed taking it last Monday (April 5) and I was supposed to start my period that Thursday (April 8). I also missed my pill on the day I was supposed to start but have been taking them everyday still without doubling up or anything  cause I was told not it if I missed.  Anyway it's a week later and still no period. Last month my period was very light much more like brown spotting only when I used the restroom really never anything on my underwear, so I'm beginning to thing something is up.  I am sexually active and our only protection is my pill. If anyone can give some advice about maybe why I'm late or what might be up would be great help. Thanks :]

I also looked at my ovulation chart and realized I was ovulating one of the more recent times we had sex before my period so the test is probably a good idea.

Thanks! I do have a test and I finally started a week and a day late but I have also been nauseous in the mornings and today I had a sharp back pain, but if I were pregnant I wouldn't have started my period so I'm a little confused so I'm gonna take the test when I stop bleeding to be sure.

If I were in your shoes I would consider getting a pregnancy test done just in case. If you aren't pregnant and still not getting your period then I would definately check in with your dr. just to make sure everything is still 'tick-a-dee-boo'. It is always better to be safe then sorry.

P.S. There was no sex between time of missed pill and lack of period, so if I may be pregnant I would be at least a month or so and if I am I haven't noticed any symptoms or anything. But I must say the pill is the greatest thing ever! I used to get killer cramps I couldn't move but now I don't get any!
