Nuve Ring - UTI’s & Vaginal Order

Hello,

I have been on the Nuva ring for roughly 4 years now and I’m 24. In the last year or so, I’ve been getting more frequent UTI’s and up to several months ago I’ve had the worst dead dish spelling vaginal odor. I’ve used any natural suggestion as far as cleaning it (tea tree oil, coconut oil, etc). No discharge and it’s been slightly irritated, nothing serious, just feels extra dry. I’ve been to planned parenthood twice and they’ve tested me for everything, which has came up negative. The doctor gave me the pills for bacterial vaginosis, which he said treats a wide range of problems, but that didn’t help at all. I recently heard that nuva ring causes UTI’s and it got me thinking. I was wondering if anyone else has had any issues with smell? I’m taking it out for now and ultimately will go on another birth control, but was just wondering if this has happened with anyone else. Thank you in advance!
