Pain & Bleeding With Mirena IUD

I have had my IUD in for about a year and 1/2 now. overall I like it but lately I have been having bad pains in my abdominal area that really never go away. it may subside some but never completely. I also have pain in my left hip a lot and sometimes my right as well. I don't have a regular period. sometimes I may have one sometimes not but this month I bleed one day & it stopped. Then a few days later I bled again but it stopped and went away. I got it inserted after I gave birth to my daughter thinking it was my best option but with some reading I see a lot of women are having issues with it. What could it be and what should I do?
