Will the birth patch change my period dates?

So I started using the birth patch about 3 weeks ago now. I didn’t put the first one on after a week and a half of my previos period ending. I informed myself that if you don’t start right after it you should wait like 7days for it to start working. I ended up waiting way more before I had (protected) sex. Today I change to the 3rd patch, but my period is supposed to arrive tomorrow according to an app I use to track it. I was wondering if because now I am using the patch that means my period will be delayed a week or will it still come?

Hm, this stuff always appears to me as a math word problem which I'm no good at.  :-/  But remember, that an app isn't measuring anything like hormones.  It's just calculating a pattern based on previous information.  They are not always accurate, for sure.  Not always reliable. You had hormonal shifts happen with the addition to the patch.  I would think this is all normal and not following your app and regular cycle right now would be expected.
